With over nine years at AWS, Nitin has been one of the founding engineers of Amazon DocumentDB, leading the design and delivery of core engine capabilities including Serverless, IAM authentication, Role-Based Access Control, Auditing, FedRAMP compliance, and major version launches.
He currently serves on the Technical Steering Committee for Open Source DocumentDB, a Linux Foundation project backed by Microsoft, Amazon, and YugabyteDB.
His expertise spans database internals, query execution, indexing, security, enterprise features, and manageability, with a growing focus on the intersection of databases and agentic AI workflows.
